Premier Motoring Blog is an independent automotive publication run by John Chekwas. These standards guide how we develop and review our motoring information. We are reviewing older articles against them; publication alone is not a certification that a vehicle or a suggested repair has been inspected.
Sources before conclusions
Vehicle-specific instructions should be supported by the manufacturer’s owner’s manual, service information, a relevant technical bulletin or another identifiable authoritative source. A diagnostic trouble code describes a detected condition; it does not, by itself, establish which part has failed.
We distinguish verified specifications from general explanations and estimates. Where sufficient supporting information is missing, the appropriate response is further research, a narrower explanation or referral to qualified help—not an invented specification, cost or diagnosis.
General information, not a vehicle inspection
Our articles cannot assess your particular vehicle remotely. Procedures and specifications may differ by model year, engine, market and equipment. Confirm the correct instructions for your vehicle before acting. Do not use a general article to decide that a car with a serious warning, braking problem, overheating or another safety-related fault is safe to drive.
Authorship and automated assistance
Automated tools may assist with research organisation, drafting or formatting. Their output is not evidence. Technical statements still require appropriate sources and editorial checking. We do not claim that an article was road-tested, workshop-tested or reviewed by a qualified mechanic unless that work is documented and the reviewer is identified.
Corrections and updates
For a correction, email joonlinellc @ gmail.com with the article URL, the statement concerned and any supporting manufacturer document or other reliable source. John Chekwas is the publication contact. Substantive corrections should explain what changed rather than silently presenting an old error as new advice.
Commercial independence
Any sponsored placement or affiliate relationship should be clearly disclosed near the relevant content. A commercial relationship does not establish that a product is compatible with a vehicle. Readers should verify fitment, specifications and seller terms before buying.
